So I thought I would make this blog a summary of what Ty does now and how he is growing (way too fast). Also I am currently typing with one hand while holding Ty so he can eat.
Ty recently smiled at me for the first time and it totally melted my heart. He primarily still smiles at objects on the wall or his toys but occassionally I (or grandpa) can get a smile out of him.
He absolutely adores this large circle mirror that hangs over the couch where I usually sit to feed him. Helikes to smile at that first thing every morning while having his breakfast.
He doesn't mind taking his baths and he has one every other day.
He is such an alert baby. Everyonewho sees him or his pictures tells me that. I believe that Ty thinks he is older then he really is. Alot of times he will fight sleep because he thinks he will miss something. Some days he will stay awake for 7 hours at a time!
This evening he played on his play mat by himself for 30 minutes just looking around and talking.
He makes so many cute noises now coos and giggle sounds as well as grunts. He is a very vocal baby especially when he eats. He is always talking and loves to listen when I talk to him.
He goes to bed around 11 and will sleep until 2:00, eat and then go back to bed until 5. Its a pretty nice schedule for such a young baby. However he's not too set on this schedule just yet because he woke up at 2:00 last night and stayed up until 5:00 in a great mood and wanting to play.
His neck and back are getting so strong and he can really hold his head up well. He has a lot of tummy time everyday and can pick his head up and turn it. I will sometimes prop him up on his belly and he will push up with arms. He will push off of my hands when I push up against his feet. He is going to crawl early I think.
Anyway that's about it he will be 6 weeks on Friday and my time with him is just flying by! I can't believe he's already been here for 6 weeks and its funny, although its only been 6 weeks I can't remember my life without him. I love you Ty!!

Here is a video of Ty smiling at me. He has been smiling at various objects around the house but never at me until yesterday (June 23) and he kept doing it over and over so I was lucky enough to catch it on my video camera. I had to upload it on youtube because there were errors with this blog program.

I decided to take Ty's picture on the 21st of every month to commemorate his month birthday. I also decided to take his pictue with Payton so we can see his size in relation to something else. Not sure that was the best idea...its kind of hard getting a dog and a one month old to be still all wjile balancing a sign declaring his age.

So the flash drive that I was saving all of Ty's pictures on decided to stop working for some reason and now I can't get my pictures off of it. I am so upset but I do have a lot saved in my email that I send out everyday (thank goodness I send pics daily) and my mom has a lot saved on her computer. Patrick did remind me that I had this blog and that I can save pictures on this site that won't be erased should my computer, flash drive and external hard drive all get ruined or stop working. So I am going to try and post as many pics as I can on here in order to save them. Please note the pictures of Ty in the green hat and blanket, he looks like those old toys in the 80s called Glow Worms.

Happy First Father's Day

Today was Patrick's first father's day. Ty got him a nice card and a gift certificate to Foot Locker because both Ty and I are tired of him wearing his current Nikes that are taped together because they are so old. Ty actually spent most of the day with my mom and dad while Pat and I wentout to eat. It was the first time we left him and he did great! He has been so fussy lately and refusing to sleep. Yesterday evening he was awake from 7:00-12:00! I keep trying to reming him that he is still a newborn (4 weeks!!) and most newborns don't stay up for that long!!

Patrick made me a big breakfast and while he was making it I told him that it should be me making breakfast for him but then we both just laughed. We didn't take any pictures of Ty and daddy together but daddy did take this one of the 2 of us while we were sleeping. Oh and don't worry, I don't sleep with him in our bed it was 7:30 and he was fussing so I brought him in bed with me and daddy caught us resting our eyes.

Bath Time

My friend Nicole came and visited us today she even brought Paris and Payton a treat, a bag of beggin strips. She is their new best friend! No one ever brings them anything anymore its all about the baby! I love this UT outfit he looks so cute in it. It came in a pack of 3 so he is ready for football season (well atleast summer practice I doubtthey'll still fit by the time the longhorns start) I noticed today that he is starting to lose his hair in big sections on his head and his blonde hair is coming through. Its super light and when its all in he is going to look like a totally different baby! You can kind of see in the picture of him and Nicole where it is is thinning out, it really does look like he is getting a receding hairline. My baby is growing up so fast. He's already almost 4 weeks old (on Friday).

While I was out at lunch these pictures were taken. Payton is so sweet. Both girls just love their little brother!

Look I have proof, my husband really does change diapers! Such a good daddy.

We had a nice weekend. After Ty's dr appointment on Friday afternoon we spent the rest of the weekend at home. Patrick got up with Ty on Friday and Saturday all night so I could get caught up on my sleep. Then on Sunday he watched Ty so I could go to lunch at Hula Hut with my friends.

This is the first outfit that my mom bought for Ty as soon as we found out that I was having a boy. I love it because it has a beach scene on it and when he had it on it made me want to go to the beach. I wish that we were going to the beach this year but Ty is just a little too young we will for sure go next year though. I hope Ty loves the beach as much as I do because I plan on taking him as much as I can!

Daddy's Home!

Patrick came home from Houston for the weekend and we were all so excited to see him! This picture is so sweet. It will be cool to show Ty one day when he's a big tough baseball/football player just how small and sweet he once was. My boys are so cute.

Here is Mr. Ty in his cute little outfit that makes him look so grown up. I bathed him this morning so his hair was all sticking up. Then I put this outfit on him that looks like something Patrick would wear and when I looked down I saw a miniature Patrick, it was just the cutest thing. I included this story in an email I sent out to everyone today and I really enjoyed Mike'd reply:

Ty's 1st trip to Target

Today was Ty's first trip to Target. It was actually the first time he's been out in public since he was born. I had no idea how hard it was to go out and do anything with a newborn. Between trying to time out his feedings and naps and happy non-screaming time it leaves you with a window of about 45 minutes to get out, get in and get home. I'm lucky though because Ty is a pretty good baby in his carseat (so far). I love his little snglasses his faux aunt Christina bought them for him and they fit him a little better then the cool ones I got him from amazon. He's just so dang cute!
