New Camera

In case you couldn't tell, I got a new camera. Well new to me. My uncle, mark had an extra canon slr camera so he let me borrow it.

I can totally tell a difference in the picture quality. I feel like my shots are coming out close to professional now. I'm not sure if others can tell a difference or not but I don't care I love how they look.

I'm sure ty could have done without the new camera. I took a fair amount of pictures before but now I take so many the poor kid rarely sees my face, I've always got the camera in front of it. I'm sure the newness will eventually wear off but for now I'm taking that camera everywhere and taking pictures of everything. Plus it makes me feel so rich and fancy having a big camera like that.

So please enjoy some of my favorite shots from the past couple of days. Yes days (I've taken 200 pictures in less than a week). I've started on plans for ty's 1st bday party I will update on how that's going in the next few days. I want to make a big poster of all the month bday pictures I did just not sure what I'm going to do with it.

Stairs- Boo.

Ty is obsessed with my parents stairs. He loves climbing them. I don't mind letting him do it but damn the kid is fast. You look away for a second and he's hauling ass to the stairs. Just look at all the pictures I got of him climbing and how happy and proud he is every time he realizes he's been caught climbing up them.

The Eyes of Texas are Upon You

Son Sunday I decided to take Ty to his first football game ever. It was the Orange and White scrimmage that takes place after spring practice wraps up. The band was there, the cheerleaders were th'ere Bevo was even there but the best thing about the whole- it was free!! I got to see how Ty would do at a football game without spending hundreds of dollars.

Ty loved it. There was so much for him to look at and listen to. You'll notice that in all the pictures I took of him, he is rarely looking at the camera there was just way too many other things to look at instead!

Look at my pasty little baby. Already pale skin coupled with the past 5 months in Kentucky= a baby in serious need of some Texas sun. Both of us got a little sun burn. Nothing bad or painful just enough to give us both a little color in our cheeks.

He loved the band and the Godzillatron screen. There were also a ton of little kids and babies which he also loves.

Towards the end of the first quarter, he started to get a little antsy and wanted to climb the dirty stairs.  He is obsessed with climbing stairs now (see following blog on stair climbing).

We actually walked up right when Bevo's trailer was pulling up so we got to see him get out of his trailer and enter the stadium. I've gone to a ton of UT games, a ton and I have never seen Bevo arrive so that was kind of cool.

My mom made me take this picture. The bus behind her is filled with all the players. She got excited and wanted their picture so I pretended to take Ty's picture while trying to get the players' bus in there too.

And here is my most favorite shot. It totally captures and sums up the day of family football fun and Tyson's first glimpse of Texas football (and the stadium where he'll be playing someday).

project 365- Week 12

March 21- Ty's 10 month birthday and a super cute shirt.

March 22- Patrick and Ty have on very similar shirts and Patrick requested I take this picture. So sweet.

March 23- I knew this was going to be our last nice day outside for a long time so I made sure to get a lot of outdoor time. I rounded up random items from the kitchen and filled some dishes with water to keep Ty entertained.

March 24- We went back to Monkey Joes and once again the little girls flocked to Ty. Total chick magnet.

March 25- A practice night for all the new cracker barrel employees and we got to order anything we wanted to and paid for it with pretend money. It was fun and we had the most delicious coca-cola chocolate cake.

March 26- Bubble bath. Sometimes Ty loves playing in the bath sometimes he doesn't. This night he did.

March 27- Wearing his Nike velour tracksuit, rooting for UK basketball. I get so many compliments on this outfit from black people, curious.

30 Things About Me

The on all of the blogs that I read, the moms are doing a list of things about themselves. The number of things you write is dependent upon your age i.e. since I'm 30 I have 30 things. I've also peppered the list with pictures I've taken with my camera phone to hold anyones interest who could careless about me and reads this blog strictly for the Ty updates.

(This is a really high trampoline at Gymboree. While I wasn't looking for 2 seconds Ty had pulled himself up on this. Just thought it was funny)

1. I want to own a race horse. If I did own one I would name her zuzu's petals

2. If we ever own a boat someday we're naming it Cassus Beli. Its a line from a seinfeld and I learned in one of my greek classes at UT it means occassion for war. Cool huh?

3. Ever since we've been together my husband and I have discussed what we would name things including kids.

4. I attended UT for almost 10 years. I still miss going to class wish I could afford to be a student forever.

5. If I could live anywhere in the world it would be chicago

6. My husband and I have been to vegas 3 times together and can't wait to go back. We always swore we'd never take our kids there but now I don't know.

7. I desperately want a girl but it would be so much cheaper to have another boy so I honestly don't care what the next one is

8. The next baby will either be Brooks or Brooklyn

9. My favorite chore is laundry especially folding it. I pretend I'm working at a department store

10. I am the worst packer ever. On my honeymoon in vegas I forgot to pack my makeup. On my trip to myrtle beach I forgot a bathing suit

11. I actually want 4 kids but only if I can afford them otherwise I will probably just stop at 2.

12. I'm looking forward to drinking at Ty's little league and football games. I'm happy to be "that mom"

13. I love The Office I could watch my dvds all day everyday and often do.

14. I didn't take my first plane flight until I was 19 but ever since I've flown a ton a lot more then most people because of patrick's job

15. My kids will be very well travelled and well educated on different cultures. I love history and intend on passing that on to them.

16. One time I asked my husband what he loved most about me and he said "you're really good at history". Hmmmm I think he was kidding

17. I love mexican food.

18. I've never ridden a horse despite the fact I've lived in texas most of my life and kentucky (the horse capital of the world) for 6 months.

19. I love the beach and want to live in a beach city so bad.

20. I love fashion. I live my life planning outfits for the next event.

21. I love being a mom so much. I never had any idea I would love it this much.

23. I love dogs. I love my dogs. I can't wait to get another dog. When I do I'm naming her Pippa.

24. I've lost all my sports mojo since having a baby. I used to win everything. Fantasy football, basketball office polls, bowl game pick ems.

25. I could beat anyone at seinfeld trivia.

Tyson is 10 Months

First let me start off with, isn't that shirt cute? I found it at Kohls the other day for $10 and I believe my first clothing purchase ever at Kohls. I love it! Ok so back to some 10 month updates. Oh and there is one major element of these pictures missing but she is already back in Austin and unavailable for the monthly picture.
Ty, at 10 months you are the sweetest, most loving baby ever. You love giving hugs and kisses and you wave and say hi to everyone. You always have a smile too for anyone who even looks your way. I'm not sure how you got so sweet with parents like us, you must have inherited that from your grammy!
You just started walking about a day before you turned 10 months. You're not walking in the real sense of the word but you can stand completely on your own for as long as you want to and you are taking several steps so as far as record books are concerned, you started walking at 9 months. When you do walk I feel like you should be saying "Brains" as you look much like a zombie, looking for brains to eat. Everywhere we go people can not believe how young you are because you are so mature and so advanced. You point at everything now and where you want to go. You also recently became very obsessed with cars, trucks and tractors.  All of the sudden you like your stroller so we have been taking a ton of walks lately i this beautiful Kentucky spring weather and you are so happy just watching cars.
Tonight, you mooed like a cow when I asked you what the cow says which was the first time I've heard you do that. I've also heard you say uh-oh twice but can't get you to say it again for some reason. You love books. You read them on your own when you're playing and you sit quietly and listen when I read them to you. You also love music and I'm trying to decide if you're going to play the piano or the violin when you turn 3. You are doing much better in the car, as long as you either have food or something to play with. I'm about to get you a new big boy carseat so you'll be able to see out the window and I think you being able to see all the cars and trucks will help.

You say mama and dada all the time but not when calling us. You just say it while you're playing I'm fairly certain you will start addressing us by our names soon. Oh yeah I almost forgot, I can see a tooth now. Your first tooth is finally out and coming up. So it probably goes without saying that you've been teething pretty badly and not sleeping very well at night. I'm tired but you're so perfect in every other way I honestly don't mind my lack of sleep, its not that bad I just pretend that it is when your father is around so he feels sorry for me.

Happy 10 Month Birthday Ty!!
