Fall Fashion

Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge
Day 2 Fall Fashions/Makeup/Trends

As I said yesterday, I love fall clothes. I think they're classy and they cover up more (read: hide my fat) way better then spring and summer clothes. Since I am in the process of getting back down to my skinny self I plan on wearing a lot of cardigans and scarves with jeans and flats and boots. I suppose I will be wearing this stuff too because everyday my schedule consists of going to playgroups and storytimes and playgrounds so I need to be comfortable while still remaining chic.
Currently since I am in Aiken, SC population probably 20,000 I am expected to be the most stylish mom in playgroups with the most stylish kid. Styling Ty easy myself not so much mainly because I spend all my money on Ty. However I am trying something this season that I have never done before and that is buy cheap clothes. I have found and printed out several outfits on polyvore all consisting of expensive pieces making up extremely stylish outfits. I carry the printouts with me everywhere so I can find pieces to the outfits at places like Target, Old Navy and TJ Maxx. Here are a couple of my outfits that I've chosen to redo

Loving the argyle.

fall (I already got the scarf)

Fall outfit. I love these Toms

Fall

My biggest trends that I've noticed for the fall this year are riding boots and denim/chambray shirts. Also a lot of scarves and hopefully leggings and skinny jeans because I've got a lot and I'm not getting rid of them. Oh and colored jeans which I love, I want a pair of red ones but I think I'm way too big to wear them still so maybe they'll still be in style in spring.

And finally fall makeup. I've never been one to change my makeup colors between seasons. I usually just wear pretty neutral colors year round. I possibly may add eyeliner in the fall and winter but other then that not much changes. Now this has nothing to do with it being fall but I did just get some new makeup/foundation. Its Cliniques new mineral makeup line.
Redness Solutions Instant Relief Mineral Pressed Powder
I've been very loyal to Dior's Air Flash for foundation but I've so much about mineral makeup so I wanted to give it a try. And since I used to use the hell out of some Clinique I checked with them first. Sure enough they had some (even here in Aiken) and it even has 15spf in it. I actually really love it, a lot. It goes on quick and easy and the coverage is awesome without looking too thick or makeup-y. Also for some reason it makes my skin fell really soft and evens out all the imperfections that keep showing up as I age.

So thats all I got. I do plan on taking and posting pictures this afternoon because Ty has such a cute new outfit on today and it must be shared with someone besides Aiken, SC Mom's Club.

Fall Traditions

So I've decided to participate in another blogs "Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge" she gives a topic everyday in regards to fall and that's what you blog about.
Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge
The first day is supposed to be about fall traditions so here are mine...
My birthday is in October so I've always loved fall. ALthough my birthday is in early October, I usually had Halloween themed parties. I love Halloween. The best birthday paty that I can think of was one that was cowboy themed and this was back in the day when people didn't put a whole lot of thought and effort into the theme of a party, not like they do today anyway so this party was a big deal. I gave everyone mini cowboy hats and bandanas and after the initial paty at my parent's house all us 7th grade girls piled into my moms Previa minivan and went to the local dude ranch for a haunted hayride. Anyway this is my first fall tradition, fun fall themed parties.

Then there's the first pumpkin spice latte of the season

Football, of course. Going to bars to watch the Longhorns, the Bears Fanclub, Fantasy Football

Fall Clothes. My absolute favorite season of the year to buy for even though we don't really have a fall in Texas. This year since I'm in SC I think I will get to experience somewhat of one.
I need a denim shirt this season

Bears Fan Love it!

Getting to eat and drink outdoors on patios. Getting to be outdoors after 12am without dying of a heatstroke.

That's about it. I love fall and I think this little blog challenge will be fun. Tomorrow is fall clothes/trends/makeup. Yay.

Phone Picture Dump

Its been a while since I posted pictures from my phone so I thought I would go ahead and get them off my phone and onto my blog so here goes...

How much of a little boy does Ty look like right here in his jersey, Baby Js and jeans? A football Sunday at the park and even though the Bears lost to the nasty Saints I can take comfort in the fact that I have the cutest little Urlacher in the world. I posted that on Facebook and 3 people agreed.

These were taken at Hopeland Gardens. I just really like his outfit and while wearing this 2 old ladies at storytime told Ty that he had great style and told me to take a look at his cute little shoes. Um yeah old ladies who do you think bought/put those clothes and shoes on him. It cracks me up when people tell me how great Ty's style is as if I have absolutely nothing to do with it. It surprisingly happens all the time.

The first chilly day of the season here in South Carolina. I love a kid in fall clothes! Its by far my favorite outfit season.

Look how just pretty he looks here. Like a model.
This picture and the next is me catching Ty putting random things on his head and then saying "hat". He does it with everything (i.e. a noddle from dinner tonight) and then Patrick or I will say "thats not a hat Mr. Noodle" (its from Elmos world)

In the bath tub with a foam letter hat.

Just haven't had an embarrassing bath picture in a while, thought it was time.

At the library. This was the first time he was actually interested in what was on the computer.

AT the local mall. There were a ton of these ride on toys. Best part about having a 15 month old in this situation? He likes just sitting in them without me putting quarters in them. Reminds me of when we were little and my brother thought he was playing arcade games without ever putting any money in.

At Target in the school section and for some reason Ty wanted to carry around as many lunch boxes as he could. Here he has 4.
Got Ty a ball pit. Great investment because t kept him busy during the whole second half of the UT game this past weekend.
Me trying to take a picture of my cute outfit. I love my leopard scarf. Notice the little turd burgler hanging onto my leg.

At a park for the first half of the Longhorn game so I could wear him out and hopefully watch the second half in peace. The football leggings are back again and if I had a dollar every time some one stopped me or Patrick to tell us how cute he is while wearing them I would be rich. It takes me forever to get out of a store if he has these leggings on. Does no one but me shop online?
This morning hiking in the woods. Made him walk too much though because he asked to be carried back. I had him in one arm and my 2 dogs in the other.

Just a Bunch of Pictures from Today

Since my picture files are so large its hard for me to email them anymore. Yahoo used to shrink them down for me but it doesn't anymore for some reason so anytime I try to just send 3 pictures at a time they won't even go most of the time so here are the pictures from today. It was cool all day and I think Ty looks so grown up and tall in his cute little jeans. Luckily I found the perfect jeans for him since he's so tall and skinny they are adjustable in the waist and they are at Old Navy. I intended on buying the store out yesterday but alas they only had 1 pair in 18-24 months size so I only got the one. Boo.
