New Pool

Ty got a new pool today. For some reason Emily shooting this water gun thing is the funniest thing Ty has ever seen. I love his belly laugh and had to get it on video. Near the end he realizes people think he's entertaining and he switches to a faux laugh which is just as hilarious. He loves his new pool. It should provide hours of entertainment this summer once it gets super hot.

Project 366 Week 17

 April 22- April 28
Doing something a little different I take more then one picture a day on most days and on most days those multiple pictures are all cute so I'm including a couple of the pictures from that day that I liked. Also I just got my internet to work again on my laptop and I am so happy! I can do computer work again while Ty sleeps and can finally get caught up on my blogs and picture posts and Ty's birthday party. Oh disclaimer I just ordered Ty's big boy bed for his bday present from me and Patrick and he's going to love it, its a race car bed. Anyway back to the pictures of the week...

April 22
We went to my storage unit to find our humidifier and Ty stumbled upon my Wizard of Oz Pez collection. He was so entertained loading those things with that nasty chalk tasting candy. We were kicking it back to old school days of pez dispensers.

April 23- Our weekly (or maybe bi-weekly or hell daily) trip to Target. We were there checking out the new summer hats they got in and I finally got Ty to keep on sunglasses and they were super cute sunglasses at that. He always wears his glasses pushed up on his head like a headband, just like his dad always does.

April 24- I figured I had better take some pictures to prove that Ty can do the monkey bars. Sometimes the things I say that Ty can do are a little unbelievable for a kid his age and I don't want to be that mom fabricating stories to make my child seem so advanced and smart. I don't have to be that mom because my kid is. Anyhoo here he is going across the bars. He makes it 3 sometimes 4 rungs across before he drops down onto the big mat underneath which I think is actually his favorite part anyway.

In this picture he actually saw me taking the picture and he stopped and said cheese for me before continuing on his way.

The kid is a natural born athlete.

April 25- Me and Ty went to pick up our race packets from Schlotsky's for the Bun Run race we did on Sunday.

April 26- Riding off into the sunset on his 4-Wheeler. When he rides on it he just shouts "To infinity and beyond" it's a Buzz Lightyear 4-wheeler and you know, that's Buzz's tag line.

April 27- On our morning walk.

Ty was running ahead with Payton and his pants fell down because he's so skinny. He stopped and looked back at me and said "mama, oh no" look at Payton she looks so mortified. Shes looking at me like "lady fix your kids pants he is embarrassment to our entire establishment."

Ty and a pretty flower. I think its an Indian Paintbrush.

April 28- Patrick finally got to come home and visit us and we had such a nice visit. Here he is squirting me with one of Ty's water guns and Ty looking on, laughing. And Patrick wonders why I haven't bought them Nerf guns yet...

Project 366- Week 16

So my Project 366 is a little late and I am a little behind in my blogging but I can't sign on to the internet anymore on my laptop for some reason and naptime is the only time I have to get on the computer and if I don't have my laptop online then I don't have computer time. So while Ty is quietly playing with his toys this morning I figured I would try to get at least this post done. It really stinks not having my 2 hours a day on the computer because I should be planning and buying for Ty's birthday party but I'm not and when I do get on the computer I keep getting distracted by planning Ty's new big boy bedroom or looking at my favorite clothing sites trying to decide on what color shorts I want for the summer and trying to convince myself that I'm really not too old for colored jeans that are so popular right now. My evenings and nights are taken up by my runs and working out and by the time I get in from those I am so tired, I go to bed at 9. Anyhoo here's the pictures from last week (still loving Instagram)

April 15-21

April 15
Ty at his gym (again) we love this gym so much and it turned out that I knew the owners so we get to go for super cheap if not free now so we go all the time. The kid is absolutely fearless but he's wicked talented and has great balance so I actually don't worry too much about when he takes off like this.

April 16
Ty eating his cereal. Its a new thing he has for breakfast now and really likes it. I held off for so long because it required good use of a spoon and it made for a dirty kid if not proficient with the spoon. One day I gave him the spoon and he just knew how to use it. Kind of like with Ty and his potty training. He's taught himself because I've been so lazy with it.

 April 17
A reversed pic of me and Ty. He was fascinated with seeing himself on my phone while trying to take the picture.

This picture is from the same day when we went and picked my mom up from school. I thought it was pretty, kind of like "and he's buy-ing the stairway to heaven" when really its just a stairway into Travis Heights Elementary.

April 18
Dustin came over to play with Ty. Ty loves his uncle and thinks he is hilarious. Dustin does wild and crazy stuff still and Ty thinks its so entertaining. And no Ty you can't have a tie dyed shirt like your uncles.

 April 19
At the gym again. I got into with a woman today because she told me that her Dr said kids weren't physically  capable of jumping until they were over 2 years old. Really because my kid jumps so well and has been jumping for so long that he can do a toe touch on the trampoline. Oh and he's 23 months. Oh and you're kid is ugly and is almost 2 and still grunts to speak (probably taught her sign language 1st.)

April 20
We met my friend Nicole for brunch at Kerby Lane Cafe. Ty was so well behaved, I was amazed. Also got about 100 compliments from people on how cute he was.

April 21
We went with a bunch of my high school friends to Doc's Backyard. It was so.much.fun. I will do a separate post on it as it certainly warrants one.
And just because I love it so much, here's the invitation I designed for Ty's birthday party. Its a New York themed party and I had this made by a designer on Etsy. I think it so cute and the party is going to be so awesome. This year I won't have the nasty guests there that ruined the party last year plus a lot more people who I actually enjoy hanging out with. I can't wait to see everyone!

This Little Light

Another post in the series of Ty's bedtime songs. We went to Starbucks for me and then went next door to the playground. It was quite a pleasant morning watching Ty play while I enjoyed my grande skinny mocha. Ahh its the little things in life...
This little light of mine

I'm gonna let it shine

This little light of mine

I'm gonna let it shine

This little light of mine

I'm gonna let it shine

Let it shine

Let it shine

Let it shine!

Oh I should note that Ty can put these shoes on by himself and he somehow put them on the correct feet. I love Toms because they are so easy to put on but I also hate them because they do come off rather easily and its especially annoying when you've got a kid who only likes to have one shoe on at a time. At least he can put them on again though so that's something

Project 366 Week 15

April 8-April 14

April 8th also known as Easter. Here's a picture I'm sure I've posted of Ty hunting for eggs, I just turned it black and white.

April 9- Just hanging out in the backyard. Dad left today to go to his new job in Indiana and we miss him already. We're not too sad that we didn't go on this job but we will miss him .I am excited that we do get to go and visit Indiana, a state that neither Ty nor I have been to yet and there's got to be something to do in Indianapolis, right? Peyton Manning lived there forever, what did he do for fun?

April 10th- Ty at his gym, just hanging around. He has mastered the monkey bars and can go across 3 bars in a row before asking for me to help him, I assume this is impressive for a little boy who isn't 2 years old yet (just kidding, of course I know this is impressive I saw someone the other day at the gym who was excited about their 3 year old who could get to the 2nd rung, yikes but I guess its cool as long as you're not comparing your kid to Ty hahaha)

April 11- I taught Ty how to put together a Lego helicopter and he was obsessed with smashing it to pieces just so he could put it back together again.

April 12th- We went out to eat with my family at Serranos. Ty is getting much better about eating out but its still not a leisurely outing.
April 13th- We heard the ice cream man coming so I hauled ass outside to catch him. Seriously I had to run after the truck flagging it down. It was well worth the chase though, look how much Ty is enjoying his ice cream treat.

April 14th- Bath time just gets stagnant sometimes so tonight, I threw in a bunch of balls from his ball pit, he decided to add in the stacking cups and put the balls in them. Clever boy.

Sunshine

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.

You make me happy when skies are gray.

You'll never know dear, how much I love you.

Please don't take my sunshine away.

The other night dear, while I was sleeping
I dreamt I held you in my arms

But when I woke dear, I was mistaken

And I hung my head and cried.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You'll never know dear how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away.

Here's a new series of posts I plan to do leading up to Ty's birthday featuring all of the songs I sing to him every single day at nap time and every single night to put him to sleep. I just want to remember someday all of his favorite songs that I sang while rocking him. The other day when I was rocking him to sleep it hit me that I don't have that much longer to do this and it made me sad. I want to be able to remember everything about our special time together, rocking and singing and him looking up at me with his sweet eyes and seeing that admiration and unconditional love that he has for me and him tucking his little arm up under my arm to get comfy right before he closes his eyes.  I will also try to get a series of good pictures for each song but since Ty literally runs away when he sees my camera out now that may be a bit hard.
